LeBron James has gotten the chance to play with some of the greatest players in history during his legendary career. While James is one of the best to ever do it, he has enjoyed his time playing with some excellent players in the league. One picture from 2017 resurfaced recently of LeBron teaming with two of the best players of the early 2010s.
SportsCenter’s Twitter account shared a picture of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Derrick Rose from 2017 when all three players were a part of the Cleveland Cavaliers. NBA fans reacted to the picture, with many pointing out how their brief stint together was not memorable but could have been special if it happened earlier.
The trio of LeBron, Wade, and Rose only played 8 games together and shared a total of 52 minutes on the court together. Wade was past his prime and was not as good as he was during his legendary stint in Miami. As for Derrick Rose, his injury problems had gotten the better of his career, and he was no longer the player he once was.
LeBron James And Dwyane Wade Had Better Times In Miami
While James, Wade, and Rose didn’t click in 2017, fans have wondered what they would have been like together in their prime. LeBron and Wade almost played with Wade in 2010, and the Chicago Bulls were one of the teams the trio of LeBron, Wade, and Bosh considered joining the Bulls that year before choosing Miami.
James wouldn’t regret his decision, as he and Dwyane Wade won 2 NBA championships together in Miami. James also won 2 Finals MVPs, 2 regular season MVPs, and 4 NBA Finals appearances. When playing with Wade, LeBron averaged James averaged 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists.
Wade and LeBron didn’t have it easy, as they did have a few conflicts. Recently, Wade spoke about cussing LeBron out during the 2011 NBA Finals. The two were able to put that behind them and found incredible success together as teammates.
