Dr. Dolittle opened his eight-figure Malibu home to pigs, alpacas, cows and goats.

Hollywood actor and TV star Robert Downey Jr has transformed his Malibu property into a wildlife haven – and it has to be seen to be believed.

The 58-year-old Dolittle star purchased a seven-acre compound in Malibu in 2009 for $13.4 million.

But since moving into his home, he has also welcomed his four-legged family members there by creating an animal sanctuary.

The inhabitants: alpacas, cows, goats and dwarf goats, pigs, chickens and his two cats, Montgomery and D’Artagnan.

It includes vast green spaces for its much-loved menagerie, as well as several homes for humans.

The famous family man lives with his wife Susan and their two 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, Exton, seven, and Avri, five, in the main property.

The ranch-style home, with three bedrooms and four bathrooms, sits on the north end of the estate, at the end of a tree-lined driveway.

The house was previously owned by actress and model Kelly Harmon, who redecorated and brought it back to life before selling it.

The bleached oak floors and limestone patterns that remain are among the touches she added.

She also converted an existing barn into a two-bedroom guest house.

Lush landscaping is accompanied by a multiplex basketball and tennis court.

However, Downey’s additions to the house are much more futuristic.

This includes building a second single-story, space-age “Binishell” house with domed windows.

The 65,000-square-foot home was built in 2013, as the Iron Man trilogy was coming to an end.

“We wanted to try something that had never been done before,” his wife, Susan, told the New York Times Style magazine.

“Plus, we love the characters.

Creator Dante Bini discovered he could build a house in an hour by “filling a nylon-covered neoprene air bladder with wet reinforced concrete, then slowly inflating it.”

He hoped his creation would solve the global housing crisis.

Located near the home of Robert Downey Jr and his family, it has a large swimming pool accessed through sliding doors.

If you venture a little further, you will find fenced pastures, horse stalls and riding arenas that shelter your beloved animals and allow them to roam freely.

Because Robert Downey Jr is a lover of life, a vegetable garden is located near the residences.

All-terrain vehicles used for navigation and tilling the land sit alongside Mr. Downey’s collection of luxury cars.

Robert said he felt at home playing Dolittle.

“I basically live on a rescue farm, and I look out and the alpacas are looking at me, and I’m like, ‘Okay!’ And it’s a new adventure, something new to try, a new level of difficulty,” he said.
