New Photo of Tiger Woods Has Golf World Buzzing

Woods has been recovering from Achilles surgery.

Tiger Woods made a rare public appearance this week as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury.

Woods, 49, tore his left Achilles tendon in March while ramping up his training for the 2025 golf season. He had surgery and has been rehabbing ever since, insisting that he wants to return to golf in 2026.

Woods was actually out on the course Tuesday, albeit not in a playing capacity. He accompanied his son Charlie during the final round of the 41st Nicklaus Junior Championship at Tequesta Country Club in Palm Beach County, Florida.

While Charlie shot a 2-under 69 to wind up even-par for the tournament and finish sixth out of 122 golfers, much of the conversation from his round has centered around pictures of him and his dad walking on the course.

Some have made note of Woods’ appearance, mainly his legs, while others are encouraged that him being out walking through a round is a good sign for his eventual comeback.

Prior to his latest injury, Woods was participating in the TGL and had planned to play some on the PGA Tour in 2025, though he withdrew from The Genesis Invitational in February after saying he was “just not ready” to compete following the death of his mother Kultida.

Woods has a long way to go until he is physically ready to play in a PGA event, but we’re not going to bet against him making it back at some point.

“He’s been skipping leg day,” one person commented.

“I can’t wait to see him playing again,” another said.

“The Daddy is back on the prowl!” a third person wrote.

“Not on the PGAT. Maybe Champions. I don’t want to see him MC and WDing in regular tournaments. Walking 18 and playing 18 are two entirely different things. Walking 18 and playing 72 even more so,” a fourth person said.

“Tiger needs to do some squats,” added a fifth.
