Marjorie Lloyd Arnold, an African American grandmother from Raleigh, North Carolina, recently marked 107 years of life surrounded by loved ones. Born in 1918, she raised 10 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren and built a family that now spans multiple generations.
Arnold was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 on August 10, 1918, in Tarboro. Over time, her family expanded to include 34 grand𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, 70 great-grand𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, and 32 great-great-grand𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.
On Saturday night, relatives and friends gathered at the Hilton Garden Inn in Raleigh to honor her remarkable journey, according to My Fox 8. The ballroom was filled with music, laughter, and warm tributes.
Arnold made her entrance in a shimmering floor-length silver gown, greeted by applause. Above her place of honor, silver foil balloons displayed the number “107.”
She later joined the dancing, moving with joy to the music. Her daughter shared that Arnold loves attending church and treasures every moment spent with her large family.
