Reports from The Athletic suggest that Chelsea is growing increasingly concerned about Mykhailo Mudryk’s extensive gym sessions. Consequently, the club has advised him to reduce the time he spends in the gym, both before and after training.
Despite his dedicated private workout routines, Mudryk’s on-field performance has fallen short of expectations. This has understandably left fans disappointed, as they held high hopes for the player when Chelsea signed him back in January.
The 22-year-old Ukrainian international has yet to find the back of the net in competitive matches and has seen limited playing time recently, often encountering defensive-oriented teams. Mauricio Pochettino, the team’s manager, faces the challenge of helping Mudryk rediscover his form, which might necessitate changes both on and off the pitch.
Chelsea has now intervened to ensure that Mudryk doesn’t push himself too hard in the gym. However, it’s essential to provide the player with consistent playing time for improvement, potentially requiring tactical adjustments by the manager in the weeks to come.
