HARRY MAGUIRE sank a cider while on holiday with wife Fern as they bumped into Premier League icon Peter Crouch.

The Manchester United captain reported back for pre-season training today having been given an extended break after playing for England in June.

So Maguire made sure to make the most of his last bit of time off by jetting off to Portugal with wife Fern, who he married last year, to soak up the sun.

The couple were pictured enjoying some downtime on the beach as they went for a paddle in the sea.

Maguire, 30, wore black swimming trunks and a cap while holding a grey towel over his shoulders.

Meanwhile, Fern, 28, stunned in a bikini to go with her stylish sunglasses.

After walking along the sand in the Algarve, they went into a bar and happened to see Crouch.

The former Liverpool and Tottenham striker wore jazzy shorts and a shirt as he joined his pal for a drink.

Maguire and Crouch chatted and were seen laughing as they knocked back a pint of cider.

The centre-back is a regular in the Quinta do Lago resort in Southern Portugal, holidaying there when boss Erik ten Hag granted him special permission to go abroad while he was injured last year.

Maguire has been enjoying his time away from the pitch this summer, taking to the golf course earlier this week.

But he faces an uncertain future at Man Utd amid rumours he could be sold to raise transfer funds.

Tottenham and West Ham have been linked with him in the past.
