Skip Bayless Had Rare Praise For LeBron James: “Still The Best Passer In Basketball.”

LeBron James is one of the most prominent basketball players on the planet, and even in his 19th season, he is playing at a superstar level. Currently, LeBron James is putting up 30.0 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 6.3 APG.

There has been a lot of talk among fans this season about LeBron James’ scoring ability, and him potentially passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in all-time scoring in the future.

Analyst Skip Bayless is well-known for being a critic of LeBron James. At one point of the season, Skip Bayless accused LeBron James of stat-padding with “easy garbage-time buckets” to chase the scoring record.

LeBron James, in Year 19, has already played 36 minutes tonight but is still in the game, trailing by 22 with 5:08 left, to stat-pad with easy garbage-time buckets as he chases Kareem’s all-time scoring record.

Despite the fact that Skip Bayless has been consistently been critical of LeBron James, it seems as though it is hard for him to deny LeBron James’ basketball ability. While the recent Lakers-Cavaliers game was going on, Skip Bayless claimed that LeBron James is “still the best passer” in the NBA. LeBron James ended up putting up 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists against the Cavaliers, while also leading the Lakers to a win.

LeBron James is still the best passer in basketball.

There is no doubt that LeBron James is an all-around player that can do almost everything on the basketball court offensively. However, his best trait has always been his playmaking, which is obviously what Skip Bayless was referring to here. While there are definitely some other talented passers in the NBA such as Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, there’s still a case for LeBron James as the best passer in the league.

LeBron James has scored more due to necessity this season, as his team situation has required him to do so. Perhaps we’ll see LeBron James shift more into a playmaking style once Anthony Davis returns to the lineup, and takes some of the scoring burden off of his shoulders.
