Manchester United are hoping to sign Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund in this summer’s transfer window.
Manchester United ‘will action a move’ for Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat once they’ve wrapped up deals for Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, reports claim. The Red Devils are taking transfer action despite ongoing takeover speculation. And they’re eager to back Erik ten Hag following the 53-year-old’s successful maiden season in charge, with Mason Mount already secured.
According to Football Transfers, United are keen on Amrabat.
And they’ll move to sign the midfielder from Fiorentina after recruiting the likes of Onana and Hojlund.
Ten Hag used to manage Amrabat at FC Utrecht. Speaking about the United boss last year, the Morocco international said: “He made a plan for me. He asked me about my strong points and what I wanted to improve.
“From the first day, he was busy with me. Not only me, all the players.
“A lot of coaches are busy in general with the team but he put a lot of time into individual work because he knew if the individual was better the team would be better.
“After every game, he would take me through a video and explain everything to me.

“I learned such a lot from him.”
Onana is expected to join from Inter Milan this week, with the Cameroon international being targeted to replace David De Gea.
De Gea had, until recently, been set to extend his stay with the club.
But it’s now been confirmed the 32-year-old will be on the move to pursue a new challenge, with clubs from Saudi Arabia being linked.
Ten Hag previously managed Onana at Ajax, with the pair winning three Eredivisie titles together.

And a reunion will see the Inter star become United’s first-choice goalkeeper with the Red Devils hopeful of landing the player for a fee in the region of £40million.
As for Hojlund, the Atalanta striker is viewed as a player with immense potential over at Old Trafford.
Few had heard of the 20-year-old 12 months ago when he joined the Serie A side from Sturm Graz.
But the Denmark international is now well-known after scoring nine goals across all competitions.
United also retain interest in Harry Kane.
However, it’s hard to see the England international joining right now due to Tottenham’s reluctance to sell.

Bayern Munich also want Kane and have made two bids for the striker so far.
And whether United are able to acquire all their top targets remains to be seen.
Regarding Onana, meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand has hailed the Inter star.
Speaking on his FIVE YouTube channel, Ferdinand said: “I remember, and I watched a lot of Ajax when Erik ten Hag was there, and a lot of what he wants to do is about playing out from the back.
“You can see when he first came [to United] they got caught numerous times. Brentford is a game which sticks out in my mind away where they were trying to implement his playing style, which is definitely playing out from the back from the goalkeeper. They got pressed and they got battered and bruised doing that.
“Then they switched after that and started playing a bit longer and balancing out playing out from the back and then going long.
“I think ideally he will want to be a team that play out from the back immediately and control possession and control through the different transitions and phases of the game.
“To do that, you need a goalkeeper who is completely competent, really good, calm and authoritative and confident in doing that. Onana absolutely fits the bill.
“I remember that I spoke to Pep [Guardiola] before the Champions League final and he highlighted Onana, the goalkeeper, as somebody that they’re going to have to prepare for.
“How many goalkeepers do you normally have to prepare for in terms of building up and building out from the back? There ain’t many in world football.
“Onana is one of them, so he’ll definitely give Manchester United a presence.
“He’ll give Man United more confidence and more ability to play out from the back and I think he suits an Erik ten Hag team completely, so I can see that deal being done.”
