Artist’s Colorful House With A Touch Of Madness

This colorful home is pure craziness, full of colors, bold designs, unusual furniture and accessories

If you like cubism and surrealism, you gonna love this super crazy home that an artist created for himself and his boyfriend. Artist Misha Kahn designed a home filled with everything whimsy, tricky and colorful – it’s a real playhouse instead of a usual one!

The aim of the project was to create a crazy yet livable space for two, with super bold colors and a touch of madness. Every room or space is a unique one in absolutely different colors and with furniture like no other, most of which was designed by the couple themselves or just usual pieces renovated by them.

The living room features Campana brothers: a furry couch and fish-scale-adorned chest, and the centerpiece of the dining room is a soft-rubber table in the shape of Denmark. Eating anything other than soup on it is an adventure. In the kitchen, all surfaces save for the oven are covered in what looks like a deconstructed Chagall painting, with one wall plastered in bright-yellow Voutsa wallpaper. It’s the visual equivalent of an alarm that wakes you up to the voices of screaming 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.

For the bedroom, Kahn designed a pair of sconces with the help of his boyfriend. They put stuffed animals in them as a joke, but now that’s their home. The Moroccan boucherouite and was bought to cover the otherwise standard gray headboard. The fan and stools are by Kahn, and he also used an Ikea rug and fiberglass yard décor. The toothy Japanese print on the far bedroom wall is by Tadanori Yokoo. Living in such a home is an adventure in itself, it’s an experience like no other. Get more of these crazy spaces below!
