Expressing her deep dismay, an animal control officer took to social media to share a heart-wrenching incident she encountered. It involved a defenseless puppy left to starve on an abandoned armchair, callously discarded along the roadside.

Sharon Norton, an officer from Brookhaven Animal Control, swiftly responded to a concerned woman’s report about a truck unloading furniture and abandoning a dog on Gaston Trail in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Upon receiving the distressing message, Norton immediately rushed to the scene.

To her disbelief, she discovered the forsaken puppy nestled stub𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧ly in the armchair, showing no signs of willingness to move.

Norton wrote:

“To the person that dumped this chair, your puppy was waiting for you to come back, slowly starving to death because it was afraid to leave the chair to find food.

Shame on you for doing this to this puppy… but one day Karma will meet up with you.”

Norton gave the puppy some food and brought him to the vet. The puppy is now receiving medical care and will be placed up for adoption shortly.
