When we stumbled upon Luna, my heart shattered into pieces.

This poor momma dog had just given 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to six adorable puppies when she went out searching for food. It breaks my heart to tell you that someone decided to set out poisoned food right where she was hiding with her babies. The tragic result was that she got stuck under a nearby vehicle and, in desperation, ate the deadly meal. It’s simply devastating.

One day, a little boy saw Luna in a very bad condition. He waited for the person who left some food for her to leave before calling Prishtina Dog Shelter. The volunteers arrived quickly and saw that Luna was struggling to breathe but still had the strength to plead for her puppies. The vet gave her an emergency injection to save her life. They took her to the shelter where she was reunited with her puppies.

Luna was feeling a bit frail and required some downtime, but overall, she was doing alright. The next day, she was all set for her initial shots, which were essential for the health of her puppies. Luna was a tad apprehensive, yet she behaved impeccably like the good-natured dog she was.
