As John Wick: Chapter 4 pushes the boundaries of the action genre, Reeves found himself amidst some exhilarating and challenging moments during filming. The My Own Private Idaho star shared that the fourth installment included the use of several weapons, marking the craziness of the film’s production. The Constantine star added that all these challenges made it pretty fun to work in the film.
“We fight on the stairs leading up to the Sacré Coeur, and we filmed that for a while and a lot of shenanigans happen there. We film in this kind of street fight scene in a roundabout – that was pretty crazy. I have a whole sequence inside the Osaka Continental with nunchucks and weapons, and Donnie Yen with a sword. What! They were all challenging. But the ‘challenging’ is the fun… It wouldn’t be fun if it was easier. We’re not doing this to make it easy.”
