Woods has been spotted rooting for Charlie Woods at the U.S. Junior Am qualifier at Eagle Trace GC, where his son is playing great — 2 under through 9 holes and tied for 2nd place, with five spots up for grabs and two alternate spots on the line. He birdied both par-5s but struggled on par-3s and par-4s, carding five double bogeys and four bogeys, leaving him with a mountain to climb on the infamous South Course, dubbed “The Monster” by Ben Hogan, to make the low 64 cut from a field of 264 players from 40 states and 35 countries.
Despite the challenging round, Charlie had drawn a crowd of around 100 spectators who eagerly followed him throughout his game. Though his famous father watched, he was powerless to offer advice due to tournament rules, leaving Charlie visibly frustrated as he covered his face with his cap after finishing his round.
