A young Nigerian mother named Ayeni Oluwabusola Mary has achieved an extraordinary academic feat, earning first-class honours both in her undergraduate Law degree and at the Nigerian Law School.
Mary began her journey at Osun State University, where she pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Through years of dedication and resilience, she graduated in 2021 with an impressive 4.80 cumulative grade point average over 5.00.
Her stellar performance earned her the title of the best graduating student from the Faculty of Law and the second-best overall in her graduating set.
After her undergraduate studies, she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School—a mandatory step for anyone seeking to practise law in Nigeria.
Despite the rigorous demands of the programme, Mary maintained her record of excellence, earning a second-class degree upon passing her Bar examinations.
Beyond the academic pressures, Mary balanced her role as a wife and mother while navigating law school. Though it was challenging, she remained determined and persevered through it.
Reflecting on her success, Mary took to Twitter to recall her earlier years. She remembered watching others receive awards during secondary school prize-giving ceremonies and wondering what made them stand out.
At the time, she had no idea that the secret lay in consistency, late nights of study, and unrelenting hard work.
She stated that she went from being an average student she has grown into a woman whose name now stands beside some of the finest in her field.
Mary attributed her success to God and expressed deep gratitude to her parents, siblings, husband, and her adorable daughter for their constant love and support.
