37 Cast Members from ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Have Passed Away

Since its premiere in 1987, “The Bold and the Beautiful” has become a beloved fixture in daytime television, renowned for its dramatic narratives and memorable characters. However, the show has also faced the sorrowful reality of losing many of its talented cast members. In total, 37 actors who contributed to the series have passed away, leaving behind a rich legacy that continues to resonate with fans.

Among those remembered is Perry Stevens, who portrayed Steve Crown in 1993. He tragically passed away on September 8, 2005, at the age of 47. Phyllis Diller, a legendary comedian, joined the series in 1995, playing Gladys Pope until her death in 2012 at 95 due to natural causes. Joseph Mascolo, who brought the character Massimo Marone to life in 2001, succumbed to Alzheimer’s complications in 2016 at 87.

The list of departed stars also includes Jeff Conaway, known for his role as Mick Savage, who died in 2011 at 60 due to pneumonia and sepsis linked to substance abuse. Austin Stoker, who played Mitchell Owens, passed away last year at the age of 92. Additionally, Joseph Campanella, who played Jonathan Young, died in 2018 at 93 from complications related to Parkinson’s disease.

The series also saw the loss of beloved figures such as Fred Willard, who portrayed John Forester, passing away in 2020 at 86, and Andrea Evans, who played Tawny Moore, who recently lost her battle with breast cancer in July. Robert Clary, known for his role as Pierre Jordan, passed away in November 2022 at the age of 96, while Betty White, who joined the cast in 2006, died just days after suffering a stroke in 2021.

As fans reflect on the contributions of these actors, their performances remain etched in the hearts of many, solidifying their place in television history. The show continues to honor their memories, reminding audiences of the enduring impact these artists had on “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
