Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lee Zeldin announced his decision to terminate a $2 billion grant for a Stacey Abrams-linked non-government organization with the support of the Department of Government Efficiency.
‘The DOJ/FBI are investigating and the money has been frozen,’ he announced. ‘It is insane that the Biden Admin would give $2B to an organization that previously only received $100!’
Zeldin responded to a social media message from President Donald Trump who complained about the grant and ordered his government to ‘get back the money.’
‘is Stacey Abrams going to give back the Two Billion Dollars they funneled into her “environmental fund” just prior to my assuming office. She went from $100 in donations to $2,000,000,000 in just one day? Not bad!!!’ Trump wrote on social media.
DOGE leader Elon Musk noted on social media that the Abrams grant from the Biden administration was just one of many such grants that the department had found.
‘Many scams like this,’ he wrote.
DOGE also announced another $577 million in canceled grants from the Department of Labor for a total of $237 million in savings.
The list included $10 million in cuts for ‘gender equity in the Mexican workplace,’ $12.2 million for ‘worker empowerment in South America,’ and $6.25 million for ‘improving respect for Worker’s rights in agricultural supply chains’ in Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

Other slashed programs included $5 million for ‘elevating women’s participation in the workplace’ in West Africa, $4.3M for ‘assisting foreign migrant workers’ in Malaysia, and $3 million each to ‘enhance social security access and worker protections for internal migrant workers’ in Bangladesh and ‘safe and inclusive work environments’ in Lesotho.
DOGE claims it has saved Americans $130 billion, or $807.45 per taxpayer as Musk’s top lieutenants continue scouring each federal agency for more savings.
