Similarly, Dame Hyman, recognized for her quirky roles, played the elderly lady in 1992 and left us on June 3, 2021, at 91.

Anthony Sher, a distinguished stage actor known for his performance as Mr. Prothro, died on December 2, 2021, at 72. Other cast members include Peter Corey, who played Mr. Prout, and Dorene Mantle, known for her role as Mrs. Warboys, both of whom contributed to the show’s unique charm and humor. Mantle, who passed away recently on August 9, 2023, at age 96, was a notable presence in British television.

The series also featured comedic talents like Roy Hudd, who portrayed Mr. Smedley, and Tim Brooke-Taylor, known for his role as Derk. Both left a lasting impact on British comedy, with Hudd passing away on March 15, 2020, and Brooke-Taylor on April 12, 2020.
