Nike announces partnership with an unlikely brand ambassador: Kim KardashianSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In an attempt to “disrupt the global fitness and activewear industry … in service of all women athletes,” Nike has announced the release of NikeSKIMS — a new collaboration with reality star Kim Kardashian.
“The new brand merges NIKE Inc.’s world-class approach to advanced innovation, sport science and athlete insights with SKIMS’ obsession for the female form and pioneering pursuit of solutions for every body,” a press release noted.
The NikeSKIMS line will offer an extensive array of training apparel, footwear and accessories — a move the company refers to as an effort to grow its women’s business, “inspiring women and girls around the world to dream big — and enabling them in their pursuit with industry-leading apparel, footwear and accessories.”
