Anne Hathaway prowls around in leopard print jacket as she arrives at Sundance Film Festival to promote The Last Thing He Wanted

Anne Hathaway and Ben Affleck go head-to-head in the high-stakes, historical fiction drama, The Last Thing He Wanted.

But Hathway’s co-star was missing from the real life action, as the actress made her way to Park City, Utah on Monday to promote their Netflix Original film during the Sundance Film Festival.

The 37-year-old actress was joined by the film’s other stars Edi Gathegi and Rosie Perez, as well as director Dee Rees, for a morning hang out at the WarnerMedia Lodge.

The film, which is available to stream on February 21st, places Hathaway in the lead protagonist role, while it forces Affleck to take on a more sinister persona.

The official trailer for the nearly two-hour feature film was released on Thursday and the film, itself, will premiere at Sundance on Monday evening.

Before the premiere festivities, Hathaway and her cast of characters stopped by the Lodge to discuss the film during the Elevating Storylines sit down with AT&T.

Hathaway stunned in a leopard trench coat paired with a ruffled high-neck blouse, and black boot-cut trousers.

Shady: Upon entering the WarnerMedia Lodge, the stunning actress sported some large, black shades as the Utah sun crept out from behind the clouds

She accessorized her look with some chunky cat-eye sunnies, as well as a Panama hat with an iridescent gold brim – under which could be seen a pair of Foundrae earrings.

On her feet were a flaming red pair of leather booties that gave the ensemble a necessary – and fun – pop of color.

She kept a firm grasp on her grey Roger Vivier handbag while braving a slew of fans and photographers outside the WarnerMedia Lodge.

It’s coming: The film starring (L-R) Edi Gathegi, Rosie Perez, Dee Rees, and Anne Hathway will premiere at Sundance on Monday evening, but will be made available to the public on February 21st only on Netfllix

Affleck meanwhile explained his absence on Instagram on Monday in a video clip wearing a blue hoodie under a blue coat.

‘Hey what’s up Sundance? I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there. I’m in the middle of work right now, but I love this movie and I want to send all my love and support to Dee and Anne and the whole cast and crew,’ he said in the video filmed outdoors next to a set trailer.

‘I’m really excited. I love the movie. I think you’re going to love it, too. Enjoy. Thanks,’ Affleck added in the video for his roughly four million followers.

Awesome project: Affleck in a caption said the Netflix film was an ‘awesome project’

In the film, Hathaway plays veteran D.C. journalist, Elena McMahon, who ‘loses the thread of her own narrative’ after accidentally acquiescing her way into what would become the Iran-Contra Scandal.

Director Dee Rees, who co-wrote the film’s script with Marco Villalobos, based the film off the 1996 Joan Didion novel of the same name.

Hathaway’s character is torn from the 1984 campaign trail when her ailing father, played by Willem DaFoe, calls on her for help dealing with some precious – and bullet clad – cargo.

The Last Thing He Wanted: Hathaway plays the role of veteran D.C. journalist Elena McMahon in the Netflix crime drama

Her guilt driven involvement in her father’s illegal activity ‘thrusts her from byline to unwitting subject in the very story she’s trying to break.’

Knowing that there is no turning back. McMahon uses her accidental involvement to her advantage, in the hopes of exposing the entire operation.

Unbeknownst to Hathaway’s character, she attracts the U.S. government’s attention, which puts top official Treat Morrison, played by Affleck, on her trail.

In a race against time, McMahon  must expose the truth, before Morrison can shut her up for good.
