When talent recognizes talent, you know it’s special. A similar moment came into play when LeBron James couldn’t contain his excitement after watching Matthew Stafford’s heroics in his team’s recent matchup against the Seahawks. The LA Rams came out on top with a nail-biting 26-20 win in Seattle. And The Chosen One’s support for his city was on full display!
“WOW!!!!!! MATTHEW STAFFORD A BEAST!!!” James wrote on X, further praising the Rams for their spectacular win “on the road”. This game was a nail-biter. Stafford threw for a massive 298 yards and two touchdowns, bringing the Rams back from a 13-3 deficit. The turning point? Early in the fourth quarter, when Kamren Kinchens sprinted down the field for an astonishing 103-yard interception return, giving the Rams a 20-13 lead. But in true NFL fashion, the drama was far from over.
Seattle didn’t back down, tying it up in the last 51 seconds with a 14-yard touchdown pass from Geno Smith to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Just when it looked like Stafford might pull off a last-second field goal drive, the clock ran out, and we were off to overtime. Here’s where things got real.
Missing rookie star Puka Nacua (who had been ejected), the Rams could’ve played it safe and gone for a field goal. But Stafford wanted the win. On fourth down, he took the risk—launching a deep pass to Demarcus Robinson. And Robinson didn’t disappoint!
Despite being tightly marked by cornerback Riq Woolen, he made a jaw-dropping one-handed 39-yard touchdown grab that sent Rams fans (and LA’s household name LeBron James) into a frenzy!
Not the first time that LeBron James has extended his support for Matthew Stafford
After the Rams’ big 30-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings, LeBron James couldn’t hold back his excitement for quarterback Matthew Stafford. “MATTHEW STAFFORD IS SO DAMN GOOD!!!!!” he posted, capturing what Rams fans everywhere were feeling.
This win was a huge one for Los Angeles. Bringing the Rams up to a 3-4 record and reminding everyone what Stafford and Co. are capable of. The QB himself had a standout game, throwing for 279 yards with 4 touchdowns, and he looked sharp with a 124.5 passer rating. But he wasn’t alone out there. Puka Nacua led with 7 catches for 106 yards, and both Demarcus Robinson and Cooper Kupp found the end zone. Meanwhile, Kyren Williams kept the momentum rolling, adding 97 rushing yards and a touchdown.
With the Lakers having an impressive start to this regular season (3-0, first time since the 2010-11 season), now 4-2, and the Rams showcasing their proficiency, LeBron James’ happiness for the city is clearly justified.
