Anthony Edwards’ girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, is addressing his latest paternity scandal.
“You say I’m one of God’s strongest soldiers. Put me on the front line,” Jackson said in a recent Instagram Live video screen-recorded by account The Neighborhood Talk. “If I gotta un-𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 daddy him then I gotta un-𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 daddy the first one. Damn!”
Jackson shares daughter Aislynn with Edwards. Us Weekly confirmed earlier this week that Edwards filed a new motion in his paternity lawsuit against Ayesha Howard, requesting a DNA test to determine whether he is the father of Howard’s new𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 daughter.
“Can I say this? Y’all just finding out,” Jackson, who also shares son Krue with ex Keith “Chief Keef” Cozart, said. “For the comment that said I was hurting on the inside, pick a side, you definitely look early 30s. Listen, y’all be trying to make a motherf—er feel bad about if they old or not, but a lot of y’all ain’t even guaranteed till 30.”
She added, “Gotta make sure my man doesn’t pull up before y’all. He see me on Live because he’s gonna be like [criticizing me], ‘Why you on Live telling them people your business?’ This fake outrage you are having, pull your panties out of your bunch.”
Jackson then pretended to cry, asking if that was “what y’all want [her] to do” on the livestream.
“That’s the most y’all gonna get out of me,” she quipped. “F— wrong with y’all.”
Edwards, who plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Jackson have been dating since 2020. They welcomed daughter Aislynn in March. (Edwards is reportedly a father of two additional 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.)
Howard initially named Edwards in a lawsuit filed in September, claiming that he fathered her then-un𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥. (Howard also shares son Jason, 9, with rapper Lil Baby.)
Neither Edwards nor Howard confirmed the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦’s paternity, but the NBA star wants a test completed by a “neutral and licensed laboratory” to determine if he is, in fact, the father.
According to court documents obtained by , Edwards requested an order establishing the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥’s paternity if the genetic test came back as a match to detail plans for 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 support.
Edwards has not addressed the scandal. reached out for comment.
Howard, for her part, left out the drama from her 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 announcement earlier this month.
“Golden girls ✨💜👑 10/14,” Howard wrote via Instagram, sharing an Instagram pic with her daughter. “Momma doll 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦.”
In a separate post, she added, “It was painful but I did it and within 15 mins my girls was 8 lbs 💕Can’t wait to tell you all about it.”
