The 13-Year-Old Used His Birthday Gift Money to Start a Thriving Clothing Business, Retiring His Mom

Trey Brown is not your average teenager. He is the founder and CEO of SPERGO, a clothing brand that combines urban and luxury styles. He started his business in 2018, when he was only 11 years old, with $178 that he received as a 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day gift from his grandmother. Since then, he has grown his brand to a six-figure income, selling hoodies, sweatsuits, shirts, and accessories online and in his own store in Philadelphia.

Trey’s story is inspiring and impressive. He is not only a successful entrepreneur, but also a philanthropist and a motivational speaker. He has donated clothes and money to homeless shelters, schools, and youth programs. He has also spoken at events such as the Forbes Under 30 Summit and the Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Summit. Trey’s motivation comes from his desire to help his family and his community. Another amazing young entrepreneur that needs mention is Tre’shawn Pittard,11-year-old founder and CEO of Tre’s Lawn Care, a business that provides lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and leaf blowing services to customers in his neighborhood.

Tre’shawn started his business when he was 9 years old, after his father taught him how to use a lawn mower. He wanted to earn some money to buy a new bike, so he decided to offer his services to his neighbors. He printed out some flyers and distributed them around his block. Soon, he had his first clients and his business took off.

Since then, Tre’shawn has grown his business to serve more than 20 customers, earning an average of $200 per week. He has also invested in new equipment, such as a weed eater, a hedge trimmer, and a leaf blower. He has hired two of his friends to help him with the work, paying them $10 per hour.

Tre’shawn is not only a successful entrepreneur, but also a dedicated student. He attends the sixth grade at Lincoln Elementary School, where he maintains a 4.0 GPA. He loves math and science, and hopes to become an engineer someday. He also participates in extracurricular activities, such as chess club, soccer team, and choir.
