Curry Foundation and PGA Reach Join Forces for First-Ever Stephen Curry Charity Classic

PGA Reach is partnering with Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation to host the inaugural Stephen Curry Charity Classic presented by Workday on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019.

The event’s mission is to help 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren in the Bay Area and beyond with the support and opportunities needed to play the game of golf and lead healthy and active lives. Together, the organizations are collectively aiming to raise $1 million to further their charitable missions.

The Stephen Curry Charity Classic will be held at  TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, where the NBA superstar will be joined by 50 two-person teams comprised of partners, donors, and supporters. Billed as a multi-faceted golf experience, the Charity Classic presented by Workday will begin with a s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s challenge, followed by an 18-hole scramble.

Teams with the highest point totals in each division will play with Curry and other special guests in a one-hole shootout to determine the overall winner of the inaugural competition.

Partnering with the Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. The foundation is PGA Reach which aims to positively impact the lives of youth, military, and diverse populations by enabling access to PGA Professionals, PGA Sections, and the game of golf.

Speaking on the opportunity to partner with the Curry’s for the Charity Classic, Ryan Cannon, PGA Reach Senior Director, stated

“PGA Reach is incredibly proud to work together with Eat. Learn. Play. to make a difference in the lives of youth in the Bay area and across the country. Sports – and golf in particular – provide kids with opportunities and experiences that help them learn, grow, and succeed, which every 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 deserves. With support from Workday, we will be able to create even more access to the game.”

The inaugural Stephen Curry Charity Classic presented by Workday will take place at TPC Harding Park, on Sept. 16.
