Kris Jenner has a big promise she has to keep.
During the season 9 premiere of her iHeartPodcasts and Katie Couric Media show Next Question with Katie Couric, the veteran journalist, 67, chatted with the Kardashian matriarch about how she recently became a grandmother, prompting Jenner to share a promise she once made to her oldest grandson.
Sharing that her daughter Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s son Mason Disick is now 14, Jenner says that she previously told him “on his bar mitzvah that I would buy him a car when he was 16, if I felt really confident and I could have proof that he’s never done any drugs or alcohol or anything like that.”
“And then yeah, what happens is my kids kept, you know, keep having kids. So now I have a feeling I’m going to be kind of on the hook for 13 cars,” says the grandma of 13, who goes by “Lovey.”
The momager went on to note that she finds it “really fun” to have little dates with her grandkids.
“Penelope and I go to dinner,” Jenner shares. “They all love to go to Target or Costco or Walmart. They loved to go get some goodies. And so we’ll take them shopping or do something fun. They love to go to dinner.”
“And I said to one of my kids the other day, I said, ‘You know, if I took every grandkid out to dinner once a month, that would take up the month. Think about that.”
Earlier this month, Kim Kardashian, 43, posted a sweet photo on Instagram of Jenner cuddling with her 8-year-old son, Saint West, and her nephew, Tatum Thompson, 20 months.
In the black-and-white picture, Jenner sat outside on a couch next to her two grandsons and wrapped her arms around her younger grandson, who stared at a ball he was holding in his hand. Saint sat on the other side of him and hugged his cousin.
“My whole heart,” Kim captioned the post. “❤❤❤❤❤❤,” her sister Khloé Kardashian commented
