You’d be forgiven for thinking that Nicole Kidman would be used to enjoying the finer things in life.
But the Aussie actress, 57, has revealed that she still has simple tastes – especially when it comes to cars.
Speaking about the subject while interviewing Victoria Beckham, 50, for the latest edition of Vogue Australia, Nicole revealed that cars were not a high priority in her life and they just need to have air conditioning.
‘My husband is a car person. I’m not a car person,’ she revealed.
‘I’m like, “you can pick me up in anything, I’ll be happy”. I do like a bit of air conditioning.’
Nicole then admitted that a Lamborghini Urus, which starts at a whopping $402,000 (AUD), gifted to her by husband Keith Urban, 56, is going largely unused by the Big Little Lies star, as she prefers much simpler wheels.
‘So, here’s the thing. My husband bought me a Lamborghini, but I drive a Subaru and he drives the Lamborghini,’ Nicole admitted.
When Victoria said that Nicole would look amazing stepping out of a Lamborghini with the winged doors going up, Nicole admitted that Keith ‘just loves fast cars.’
‘I think that’s why he bought it for me. He loves fast cars, he loves any cars – that’s his thing,’ she said.
‘He’s a Queensland boy, came from nothing. Sort of the same thing as David where you go, “I’m going to build myself up and make myself who I am”. Like you, like me. We’re self-made, all four of us, right?’
Keith and Nicole tied the knot in 2006 and are parents to daughters Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith, 13.
She also shares an adopted daughter Isabella, 31, and son Connor, 29, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
In June, Keith stunned an A-list crowd by very publicly admitting how he once almost destroyed his marriage with Nicole.
The Australian country singer was presenting at the AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to Nicole, when he made the shocking confession.
The ceremony was a private event held in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 26, and it was finally broadcast on television in June.
‘We got married in 2006, and barely four months into our marriage, the addictions that I had done really nothing about blew our marriage to smithereens,’ he began.
Keith revealed that he was struggling with addiction when he first met Nicole and with her support he managed to eventually pull through.
‘Four months into a marriage, and I’m in rehab for three months with no idea what was going to happen to us.
‘Nic pushed through every negative voice – I’m sure even some of her own – and she chose love.
‘And here we are tonight 18 years later. Her capacity to love is like no one I’ve ever met.’
