The reason Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce battle lasted for 8 years

The divorce battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has lasted since 2016 but so far there is no sign of ending.

According to a source from People, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have always harbored resentment towards each other since announcing their divorce in 2016 due to “disagreements that have occurred”. This source confirmed that things got extremely bad and this situation became out of control, unable to benefit anyone during the past 8 years.

“All the bitterness is part of the reason the divorce took so many years. Neither of them can let it go. You’d think they could get over it and work it out but no,” the source said. .

According to the source, the problems between the former couple not only did not decrease but also increased a lot over time. The sad thing is that their divorce was so famous that it became a challenge for the entire family, including the two stars and their six 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. The only thing they have in common is that they care about their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren and are worried that this long divorce process will affect them. However, up to now, the couple’s 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren have all cut off contact with Brad Pitt and sided with the Maleficent star.

Earlier this month, many sources said that the one-time Hollywood couple had been negotiating but had not yet been able to resolve all issues. In addition, the legal battle related to Angelina Jolie’s sale of their French winery for $67 million in 2021 is still ongoing. However, the actress is asking her husband to cancel this lawsuit and end the controversy.

The actress’s lawyer stated: “Angelina once again asks Mr. Pitt to end the controversy and help the family heal. Unless Mr. Pitt withdraws the lawsuit, Angelina will have no other choice but to continuing to collect the necessary evidence to prove his accusations are false.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got married on August 23, 2014. In September 2016, the female star filed for divorce after a public argument on a private plane. Years later, this star accused her husband of committing many harmful actions against her. Although the couple was declared legally single by the court in 2019, they continued to fight over 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 custody, property division, and accused each other of being involved in the winery incident.
