The Houston Rockets have only been closely monitoring the possibility of a trade for either Donovan Mitchell or Devin Booker, according to Kelly Iko of The Athletic. The Rockets are interested in trading for a superstar, but only want to do so if it’s a player at a younger age that lines up with their current core. This rules out the possibility of trading for Kevin Durant. Iko reports that Houston’s interest in trading for Mikal Bridges decreased since February and that the price the Utah Jazz are setting for Lauri Markkanen is exorbitant.
Mitchell signed a three-year, $150.3 million extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday to commit his future to the franchise.
Booker, meanwhile, has no interest in pursuing a trade from the Phoenix Suns.
