Thomas Frank admits he’d welcome Christian Eriksen back
Speaking to Danish outlet TipsBladet, current Brentford boss, Thomas Frank, has opened the door for Eriksen to return to the Bees.
“He will always be welcome back! Christian always will be. I think he knows that. And we know that he had a good time here,” Frank said.
Continuing to discuss the Denmark international’s decision to join United, he explained: “I understood well why he went to United then, and I have also said that publicly. I also think he’s done well. Obviously, he had an injury before Christmas for a while. But if Christian wants to, he’s very welcome.”
This is a deal which could be on the cards come this summer for the £150k-a-week United midfielder as he drops out of favour with a rebuild expected.
Eriksen had a brilliant time at Brentford
The creative midfielder may have only spent half a season at Brentford but he was so impressive that he tempted United into signing him after it.
He played just 11 games but assisted four games and scored once for the Bees which has left his impact lasting in the memories at that club. Frank even lauded Eriksen as ‘unbelievable‘ during his spell, with the experienced Dane being massive for Brentford
He’s been a very solid player for United considering he arrived for free however in the summer, letting him depart is the right option and Brentford could be perfect for the 126-cap international.
He inspired seriously impressive form for Brentford as they won seven of his 11 games with his match ratings all being above 7 barring his 38-minute cameo debut.
