The work don’t stop! Jesse Lingard faces the possibility of joining Barca

The work don’t stop! Jesse Lingard faces the possibility of joining Barca

Since Alex Ferguson retired, Manchester United’s transfer history has been incredibly erratic, with a few successful signings interspersed with a plethora of costly busts or, at best, overpriced mediocrity.

That hasn’t changed under Ten Hag’s guidance, either; the club wasted a lot of money on Antony and wasted a lot of time pursuing Sofyan Amrabat, neither of whom made an impact.

After failing to make an impact on the first team since his 2020 move from Ajax, another transfer catastrophe, Donny van de Beek, has now departed the club on loan for Eintracht Frankfurt.Ten Hag was questioned if other young players would be scаred off by the midfielder’s fall from grace at Old Trafford after being one of Europe’s brightest prospects.

Ten Hag stated, “That is always on those players and how much confidence you have in your capabilities” when asked about the players’ struggles.

One thing is for sure, though: the Premier League is no picnic. Man United is a challenging place to play because the pressure is constantly so great, making it seem like any other team would be easier. That is something you must address.

If you’re self-assured, though, this is the ideal club for you to play for and the greatest task you’ll ever face. What matters most is the player’s personality and character, although it also varies from player to player.

Ten Hag’s arrival in Manchester raised hopes for Van de Beek, since the two had previously collaborated fruitfully at Ajax. However, the manager said that injuries were the main factor limiting Van de Beek’s performance.

“He has had many injuries,” Ten Hag stated. Okay, first things first. Previously, he was under the supervision of numerous managers here; I have now collaborated with him for two years at United. He also had a loan from Everton in the past.

In reality, he wasn’t the same player at Ajax due to ιnjury from the time I arrived at Manchester United. He was unavailable for extended periods of time and had a hard time getting back on his feet. That is likely the most important factor behind his absence from the game.

We had planned a loan for him in the summer, but it never materialized. Since then, he has had little opportunity to contribute, as we also set appointments, negotiate contracts, and hire players for that role. It was a very competitive field.
