Man Utd injury boost as two stars return to training ahead of must-win Champions League clash vs Galatasaray

MANCHESTER UNITED have been given a huge injury boost ahead of their crunch Champions League clash with Galatasaray.

The Red Devils know they must get a result in Istanbul to boost their chances of reaching the knockout stages.

And Erik ten Hag could now call for help from Rasmus Hojlund and Antony after the pair joined in training on Tuesday.

Hojlund is the top-joint scorer in the competition with Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata after netting five times in four matches.

The 20-year-old, who is yet to net in the Premier League, has impressed following his £72million summer move from Atalanta.

And there were fears he would be missing for several matches after skipping Sunday’s 3-0 win at Everton with a muscle injury.

However, Hojlund could now reclaim his starting spot from Anthony Martial after resuming training today.

He could be joined in the starting XI against Galatasaray by Antony.

He too missed the Everton game with a knock.

But the Brazilian will find it hard to get straight back into the team after Alejandro Garnacho’s world-class bicycle kick goal at Goodison Park.

Marcus Rashford also impressed while playing on the right wing, and Ten Hag will be reluctant to shake things up too much.

Stars like Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes all trained on Tuesday, having proved their importance to Ten Hag this term.

But the Dutchman is still without midfield pair Christian Eriksen and Casemiro until the new year.

Likewise, Mason Mount and Lisandro Martinez are also still missing for tomorrow’s big game.

And Kobbie Mainoo will also be hoping to keep his place in the side after an excellent performance against the Toffees.
