‘Silky’: Reece James in awe of the performance of 21-year-old Chelsea player vs Tottenham last night

Chelsea captain Reece James has taken to social media to praise the performance of Cole Palmer last night against Tottenham.

He went to Instagram to praise the 21-year-old for his performance in what turned out to be a truly mad night of football in North London.

The Blues left the Tottenham Hotspur stadium with a 4-1 win, a result that seemed a dream moments in when they fell behind to a deflected strike.

However, their opponents hit the self-destruct button and saw two defenders sent off either side of half-time.

In the first half, Cristian Romero received his marching orders for a shocking challenge on countryman Enzo Fernandez, which eventually led to a penalty for the visitors.

Palmer stepped up for the third time of the season, finding the net again to maintain his 100% record.

This did put Chelsea back on track, and despite plenty of challenges in the second half up against the defending nine men, they eventually broke through.
