‘I’ve got the ability’: £29m Chelsea player confidently says it’s only a matter of time before he comes good

Noni Madueke is very confident it’s only a matter of time before he comes good at Chelsea.

Noni Madueke, who joined the Blues for £29million (Sky Sports) in January from PSV Eindhoven, has had an interesting start to his career at Stamford Bridge.

The left-footed attacker was one of the team’s brighter sparks during the second half of last season, but it was a rough time for the club both on and off the pitch.

He’s now working under a head coach who’s renowned for improving and working with youngsters. Unfortunately, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is yet to really be convinced by him.

Madueke’s played just four Chelsea games across all competitions so far this campaign, with zero starts in the Premier League.

However, it’s refreshing to hear new comments from the right-winger that he’s retaining belief things will turn around for him.

“I definitely back myself. It’s just a matter of time before things click; I’ve just got to get my head down and work hard, I’ve got the ability and talent to do well,” Madueke said, as quoted by The Evening Standard.

We’re equally confident that good times will be just around the corner for Madueke.

Frank Lampard previously tipped Madueke as one of the Chelsea players with big futures ahead of them at Stamford Bridge, as quoted by Steven Bartlett’s ‘Diary of a CEO’ podcast.

Madueke is fast, direct and a major attacking threat in wide areas. It’s all about him taking his chance when Pochettino next turns to him.

There’s a lot of Blues options in wide areas that are impressing in different moments, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk and Cole Palmer in contention. Maduke shouldn’t fear competing with any of them, though.
