‘Silly’: Gabby Agbonlahor predicts 24-year-old player Chelsea reportedly want to sign could cost £150m

Gabby Agbonlahor predicts Victor Osimhen will cost a gigantic transfer fee to sign from Napoli.

This comes at a time when Chelsea are strongly rumoured to be interested in signing him.

Victor Osimhen, who’s still only 24, is one of the most exciting young strikers in the world.

The Nigerian forward fired in 31 goals across all competitions last season for Italian champions Napoli. He’s followed that up so far this campaign with six goals in 10 games.

TalkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor believes it’ll take something astronomical for Osimhen to exit Naples.

When discussing Osimhen on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: “He’ll be like something silly, £140million/£150million.”

Well-respected journalist Simon Phillips has reported on his Substack this month that Chelsea view Osimhen as a “dream” signing in the striker position. In addition, Mauricio Pochettino’s side continue to monitor the Napoli frontman and could make their move if the right opportunity arises.

In our view, Osimhen’s the complete centre-forward. We fully expect he’d have no trouble adapting to the Premier League, too.

The Napoli talisman looks tailor-made for England’s top division with pace and power, albeit you never truly know until a player has been in the Premier League.

His speed in behind defences and clinical finishing makes him such an attractive target. Therefore, it would make sense if Napoli put a mega valuation on his head.
