Mike Trout’s 2-Year-Old Son Melts the Internet With an Adorable Moment, “Protect Baby BAT at All Costs”

Mike Trout is getting ready for World Baseball Classic many others. The Angels star is heading team USA for the 2023 edition of the game and is expected to face some formidable foes. Fans are excited to see teammates battling one another before the regular season starts.

Taking leave of the Los Angeles team for now, Trout is gearing up to lead his team against the Giants on Wednesday in Scottsdale. He will ultimately also face the Angels with Team USA on Thursday but played one last game with the team for the Cactus League on Monday. And just before the game started, Trout received a sweet surprise from his son!

Mike Trout practices in the batting cage with his two-year-old son

The Angels’ official Twitter posted a video of Trout practicing with Beckham Trout before a game against the Guardians on March 6th. The father-son duo took to the cage to practice batting and Trout Jr. even tried a bat flip! He energetically threw his bat in the air, making everyone around him laugh. Trout said, “Oh the bat flip?! You flippin’ bats already?”

And if that isn’t sweet enough to hurt your teeth, Beckham tried to hit a ball Mike threw him, then telling him, “Now Daddy run the bases.” And his dad told him he had to run them himself since he was the one who hit the ball. Little Trout certainly looked the spitting image of his father in his jersey, complete with the glove in the back pocket.

Fans can’t help but cheer on for Beckham Trout as much as they cheer for his dad

The comments section was filled with people delighting over what the future could hold for the Trouts. The adorable display left fans wanting more as they saw the father-son duo interacting on the field. There was clever wordplay on the Angels’ part, captioning the post with the word ‘BAT’. Which, incidentally, also stands for Beckham Aaron Trout.

One fan referred to the iconic Yoda moment from Star Wars where the Jedi Master tells Obi-Wan that should Luke fail to defeat Darth Vader, there was another. Meaning should Mike Trout ever fail to perform, fans can rely on his son.

Mike Trout is a beloved player on the field, whether they be Angels fans or not. Now let’s see how he performs in World Baseball Classic, especially when facing teammates.
