After Manchester United were controversially denied a penalty in their 2-0 loss on Saturday, Bruno Fernandes demands an apology from Jon Moss.

Ange Postecoglou won his first Premier League match by defeating Man United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to goals from Pape Sarr and a Lisandro Martinez own goal.

However, if the visitors had been given a penalty in the first half with the score at 0-0, the outcome of the game could have been drastically different.

Alejandro Garnacho attempted to score but Cristian Romero reached out and blocked his shot.

Despite the incident being reviewed by VAR, referee Michael Oliver’s on-field decision to award a corner and continue play stood.

Spurs continued to play well in the second half, scoring twice to earn their first league victory.

However, Fernandes was incensed by the decision to not give Man United a penalty and requested an apology from the head referee.

In an attack on the controversy surrounding the collision between Andre Onana and Sasa Kalajdzic during Man United’s 1-0 victory over Wolves, the Portuguese player lashed out.

“Last week they made a big thing on United not having a penalty against them [Wolves],” he said after the result.

“I want to see what’s going to happen this week if it’s going to happen the same show they did last week.”

A furious Fernandes added: “I want to see if Jon Moss also comes to apologise to our dressing room like they said he did to the manager of Wolves.”

After the Onana and Kalajdzic incident, Wolves manager Gary O’Neil received an apology from Moss, who said his side should have been awarded a penalty.

Fernandes wants the same treatment as he believes his team should have been given a spot-kick.
