Within minutes, you can enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling as well as fly-fishing.
The house is situated on 5 acres of land, which borders the White River National Forest. The house is only minutes away from everything Colorado has to offer, including fly-fishing and skiing, white-water rafting, hiking, 4 wheeling, horseback riding or craft beer drinking. Vail, Buenavista Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, and Vail are all within an easy drive. The house is built with large wood beams all over. It is well insulated with many windows. The house has WIFI. All appliances, except for the microwave, are powered by solar power. A backup propane generator is also available. The house doesn’t have air conditioning as you wouldn’t need it. The house is heated by radiant floor heating as well as a wood-burning fire. The entire house is accessible to guests, except the garage. This area is not covered by cell service. Your phone will work as long as you have set it up to use WIFI calling.
The house is located just 2 miles north from Ski Cooper resort in Red Cliff Colorado, United States. A well-maintained dirt track connects it to Highway 24, and the neighborhood is a small, mountainous area. It is only 12 miles north of Leadville and just 25 miles south of Vail. It is recommended that you have a vehicle. In the winter you will need 4WD, or all-wheel-drive because snow is very common at elevations above 10,000 feet. The roads and driveways are plowed of snow in the winter. The property has hiking and biking trails. Here are a few activities that you can do during your vacation.
Continental Divide Trail. A few hundred yards away, the Continental Divide Trail/Colorado Trail is connected. Fiddler Trail is a trail that connects from the property.
Ski Cooper. Ski Cooper is less than 3 miles away. Cooper is the definition of authentic Colorado skiing with the softest surface snow. There is terrain for all levels, from the best learning and beginner terrain to epic powder, glades and bumps.
Buena Vista. A cool little town, with a Main Street full of restaurants and shops. White water rafting and mountain biking are great activities. Also, be sure to walk down to the south main area.
