Ligue 1: Mbappe acknowledges Lionel Messi as he accepts new honor: “You’ve helped me a lot.”

Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Kylian Mbappe has sent a message to teammate, Lionel Messi after the Frenchman won the Ligue1 Player of the Year award.

The French attacker acknowledged the contribution from Messi after he claimed the award for the 2022-23 season.

Mbappe has been the PSG standout player, helping them win the title this season. The Frenchman scored 28 goals and made six assists from 33 matches in Ligue 1 this season.

Mbappe is currently one goal clear of Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette in the top scorers’ charts.

The 2018 World Cup winner sent a special message to Messi for the Argentines\ ‘s contributions this season as well.

During his acceptance speech, Mbappe said, “Of course, I thank Leo [Messi], who has helped me a lot along with all the players.”

Lionel Messi has scored 16 goals and has as many assists from 31 games in Ligue 1.
