LeBron James Compares His Game To Scottie Pippen And Penny Hardaway’s

LeBron James is already one of the best players to ever set foot on an NBA court. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has played at the highest level from the very beginning, displaying all his qualities whenever he went.

Many people have tried to break down his game, but it’s LeBron himself who perfectly detail which players his game resembles the most. During an appearance on Uninterrupted’s The Shop last year, James had this to say (1:22 mark):

“It’s crazy, I love Scottie Pippen, bro. Obviously, MJ was crazy, Kob’, Kobe would have been another one, but Scottie Pippen and Penny Hardaway was like my two,” James said. “Cause I seen myself in them. Like, I saw myself in Pippen and Penny. Tall guards, point forward, getting everybody involved, defending all type of positions.”

That’s actually pretty spot on. LeBron plays very similarly to these players. He remains a two-way threat in the league despite his age, taking on big defensive roles when the Lakers need him.

He’s been labeled a pass-first guy for most of his career, which earned him comparisons with Magic Johnson. However, Penny Hardaway and Scottie Pippen have more similarities with the four-time NBA champion.

Ever since he made it to the league, LeBron showed that he could do everything on the court. From dropping 30, 40 points consistently, to making his teammates better, to defend the biggest offensive weapon on the other team to even coaching his team.

James has really exceeded expectations during his 20-year run in the NBA and despite being closer to retirement than ever, he’s still one of the best players in the league. Amid a challenging season for the Lakers, the King averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 55 games.

His time with the Lakers has earned him more praise, as even Dwyane Wade admitted that what James has done is more impressive than what Michael Jordan was able to do with the Washington Wizards.

LeBron James Is Involved In Beef With Denver Nuggets Head Coach Michael Malone

Meanwhile, LeBron James is getting ready for a new NBA season. He’s having a nice time traveling around the world and was even the honorary starter of the 100th edition of the Le Mans race.

James took this race to diss Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone, sharing a post on Instagram that didn’t mention the coach directly but had a series of messages that sound like shots at Malone.

The coach has attacked the player and his team more than once and it was time for LeBron to fire back, and he did it in a big way.
