Black Founder Celebrates Helping Her Clients Get $18M in Funding, Launches Free Webinar for Black Organizations on How to Get Funded

Linda M. Peavy, founder of LiPav Consulting and known nationwide as “The Grants Queen,” is celebrating a major milestone — $18 million in grant funding secured for her clients — and she’s not slowing down.

In response to the myth that grants are disappearing due to cuts in federal and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) funding, Peavy is launching a free webinar titled “Write and Win Grants for Black Organizations” to spotlight the surge in private, corporate, and community foundation funding—and to equip Black-led organizations with the tools they need to win.

“Too many Black-led nonprofits and small businesses are stepping back, thinking grants are gone. That’s simply not true,” said Peavy. “We’re seeing a shift, not a shutdown. Billions in private and local funding are waiting—and my clients are proof.”

In the past few months alone, three of Peavy’s clients—Keisha, Kim, and Nicola, all founders of leading Black-run organizations—have collectively secured over $500,000 in grants. These wins are part of a growing trend of foundations prioritizing impact over buzzwords and focusing more on community-rooted, results-driven organizations, many of which are Black-led.

“Federal dollars may be tightening, but foundation and corporate funding is expanding—and they’re looking for organizations with heart, hustle, and a strong proposal,” Peavy continued. “That’s exactly what I teach.”

The Write and Win Grants for Black Organizations webinar will cover:

• Where to find non-federal funding in the billions• How to position your organization to stand out to funders• What top Black-led organizations are doing right now to secure major grants• Real-life case studies, including how Peavy’s clients turned clarity into cash

With over 20,000 leaders trained, 3,000 enrolled in her LiPav Writing School, and a personal track record of writing and winning for clients nationwide, Peavy is considered a trusted force in the grant world—especially among Black nonprofits and businesses facing evolving funding landscapes.

“Black-led organizations don’t need to change who they serve to get funded,” Peavy emphasized. “They just need to change how they tell their story.”
