FIVE people are in hospital after a private jet skidded off a runway and crashed into a river.
The small aircraft veered off the tarmac at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend, Oregon, on Monday morning.

According to the airport, the plane with five on board came off Runway 23 and into Coos Bay just after 6am.
The four passengers and one crew member were all rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Officials say their conditions are unknown.
All commercial air traffic on the airport’s main runway has been suspended whilst the investigation into the crash continues.
The National Transportation Safety Board has asked for the plane to be removed from the water, according to officials.
Monday’s river crash is the latest in a string of air accidents across the US.
The most devastating was a mid-air collision between an American Airlines passenger plane and a military helicopter.
All 67 on board the two vehicles died after the wreckage crashed down into the Potomac river.
Three week ago, terrified American Airlines passengers were forced to escape a burning plane by climbing onto the wing.
The jet’s engine suddenly burst into flames at the Denver airport, forcing passengers to escape amid smoke billowing across the runway.
Before that, a major fire was sparked when another plane crashed into a retirement village parking lot earlier this month.
Five people were injured in the accident in Manheim, Pennsylvania, and a number of cars set alight.
The plane avoided smashing into buildings by mere metres, but landed on top of parked vehicles.
And six were 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed when a medical jet plunged into a Philadelphia street last month.
One of the victims was a young girl who had just left hospital after undergoing life-saving surgery.
And on March 29, everyone on board a small plane died when it crashed into a house in Minnesota, engulfing the home on flames.
The plane came down in Brooklyn Park, near Minneapolis.
