Tiger Woods has some interesting preferences when it comes to golf. When asked whether he would rather be in a fairway bunker or dealing with an average lie in the rough, he, without taking a second, said, “A fairway bunker.” “I can guarantee that I’m gonna get clean contact on the back of the ball,” he explained, emphasizing how it helps him control spin. Interestingly, Woods has pretty solid-looking bunkers in the backyard of his Jupiter-based humble abode.

You see he likes to practice at home. He focuses his attention on his putting from 6 feet. “I end up doing a few sets of chalk lines from probably about 6 feet and in. I work on my start line (and) I try and get that dialed in,” Woods said to Golf TV a few years ago. “And then I really don’t spend a whole lot of time in the 8-15 foot range. Once I get a lot of my dialed-in time on my putting, then I’ll lag putt a lot and start trying to get my feel in my fingers and how I like to release the putter and feel it in my stroke. I like to do designated tee drill, line drill, and then lag putt to death.”
