Two tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg challenge each other… in the martial arts ring: It will only be a “fight of words”

Amidst the tense martial arts challenge between two tech billionaires, Elon Musk’s mother took to Twitter to warn her son to only “fight verbally” with Mark Zuckerberg.

“No kidding. Just sit on two chairs 4 feet apart and fight with your mouth. Funniest person wins,” Maye Musk – Elon Musk’s mother – wrote on Twitter.

Maye Musk warns her son about the match

Previously, on June 21,  Elon Musk took to Twitter to challenge Mark Zuckerberg to a cage fight  with him. The Meta boss then responded by taking a screenshot of Musk’s challenge and posting it on his Instagram story with the caption: “Give me your address.”

Zuckerberg’s response was immediately met with Musk’s response: “Vegas Octagon.” The Vegas Octagon is also known as the UFC Apex of Las Vegas.

Many assumed that Elon Musk was joking when he challenged the Meta CEO to a fight. However, Musk tweeted, “If this actually happened, I would do it.” But Musk then went on to joke about his own fighting s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s. He said that the only real workout he gets is picking up his kids and “throwing them in the air.”

Standing at 1.88m tall and weighing 82kg, Musk added that he has a great move of “using force to overwhelm”, just lying on top of the opponent and doing nothing.

Mark Zuckerberg, on the other hand, seems to be taking the match seriously. A Meta spokesperson revealed that Zuckerberg wasn’t joking about his offer on his Instagram story.

Elon Musk’s challenge to Zuckerberg comes after the Twitter boss repeatedly criticized the Meta boss on social media. Elon Musk’s criticism appears to have increased since reports emerged that Meta may soon launch a Twitter-like rival called Threads.

Maye Musk’s interest in her son is not unreasonable. Mark Zuckerberg, 39, is a trained MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter. He also recently won several medals at a Jiu-Jitsu tournament earlier this year. He is also highly regarded by top UFC fighters like Conor McGregor.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk, 51, has not been in good health in recent years. Last year, he posted an old photo of himself fighting a sumo wrestler. Musk said the fight left him with a serious back injury.

If a cage fight were to actually take place, many would say Elon Musk’s chances of winning would be slim. However, it’s also possible that there would be no real fight at all, and that this could just be a social media “battle of words” between the two tech billionaires.
