Brad Pitt’s Formula One film will be released in June 2025; filming is now taking place at the British Grand Prix and the season-ending Abu Dhabi event

Brad Pitt coming to the silver screen in the highly anticipated Formula One movie has its release date set for June 25, 2025.

The movie is being filmed in collaboration with Formula One in real-time during grands prix around the globe.

The untitled film will involve all 10 F1 teams. the sport’s drivers, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile and race promoters.

Brad Pitt stars in the film as a former Formula One driver who returns to the sport alongside Damson Idris as his rookie teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid.

Production of the movie began last year and will continue through this season’s British Grand Prix and at several other races, including the season-ender in Abu Dhabi.

The cast also includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, Samson Kayo, and Callie Cooke.

The film will aim to immerse audiences in the spectacle of Formula One and and showcase the daily grind of the sport.

The film will also be distributed through IMAX theaters, allowing for viewers to get a sensory overload of Formula One should they wish.

Formula One has expanded its reach within the United States in recent years with Grands Prix in Austin, Miami, and Las Vegas.

The film will be directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Brad Pitt has dabbled in sports movies before, portraying Billy Beane in 2011’s ‘Moneyball’ and Tyler Durden in 1999’s ‘Fight Club’.
