After being selected by the LA Sparks with the second overall pick in the WNBA Draft, Cameron Brink tosses out the opening pitch to Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani

LA Sparks rookie Cameron Brink linked up with the Dodgers’ two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani before throwing out the first pitch at the team’s home opener.

The Stanford alum, who was the second overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft, even got some advice from the Japanese athlete, who inked a staggering 10-year, $700-million-dollar deal last December.

‘Reppin’ LA,’ the Dodgers social media team captioned a snap of the pair posing in the clubhouse Monday night.

22-year-old Brink was also joined by her teammate, Rickea Jackson, with whom she threw the ceremonial pitch.

‘For them to even want to bring us out, this means a lot,’ Jackson told MLB.com.

‘The support we’ve gotten from LA, we’re just grateful to be here,’ she added.

The Tennessee alum, who was selected 4th overall in the WNBA Draft, said it’s been ‘amazing’ to see the league’s growth following her debut with the Sparks last week.

‘I feel like it’s about time. It’s just going to keep growing,’ she said.

‘But I feel like I’m more happy for the vets, they’re the ones that deserve it all.’

Before getting advice from Ohtani, Brink previously revealed she called up NBA legend Steph Curry mere minutes before she was drafted last month.

‘I actually FaceTimed Steph like five minutes before the show started,’ Brink told reporters at the time.

‘He just said to just have fun with it. I think he can just share so much great advice because obviously he’s been through this, and he just said to make stuff like this fun because it can be stressful. So to make it fun.’

The Golden State Warriors star, whose dad, Dell Curry, is Brinks’ godfather, has also been a ‘great sounding board’ for the athlete as she enters the professional ranks.
