Legend Marcel Desailly advised junior Kylian Mbappe to move to Saudi Arabia instead of Real Madrid.

Mbappe should refuse Real and go to Saudi Arabia

Kylian Mbappe has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid. According to Spanish press,  Mbappe will join Real Madrid next summer  on a free transfer and will sign a contract until 2029.

It is known that the French player receives a bribe of up to 150 million euros and a salary of 15-20 million euros per season. Thus, Mbappe has the highest income of the Spanish Royal team, surpassing two stars, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius (both receiving 12 million euros/year).

However, compared to the income at PSG, this is a significant decrease for this star (more than 25.7 million euros). However, legend Marcel Desailly advised Mbappe to move to Saudi Arabia, where he could earn up to 350 million euros per season.

The 1998 World Cup champion and the French national team stated his opinion on this issue as follows: “I suggest another continent. I’m not sure Real Madrid is a perfect place for Mbappe.

Currently, Real has Vinicius on the left wing and talented players like Bellingham in attack. Mbappe will not be the leader there. Mbappe does not want to say where he moved to, there is something behind this decision.

If I look at the financial aspect, I would accept the offer of 350 million euros per year from Saudi Arabia. Could return next season, the 2026 World Cup. At that time, Mbappe will only be 26 and a half years old.

I give this advice as a businessman. I think he can leave Europe for a year to go to Saudi Arabia. We all see that the Saudi Arabia National Championship is now very competitive.

The stands are always full and many channels broadcast the matches. Saudi Arabia wants to promote their tournament like Qatar did in 2005. I was one of the stars there. This will be a great opportunity for Mbappe to do business and still continue to play football.”

After losing to Dortmund in the semi-finals of the 2023/24 Champions League, Mbappe only has 4 matches remaining in the PSG shirt. This season, PSG won Ligue 1 and won the French Super Cup.

They still have a chance to win another title, the French Football Cup, with the final against Lyon at the end of May.
