Brawl breaks out between Man Utd and Bayern Munich stars after Garnacho ‘slams Coman into advertising hoardings’

However, players from both teams squared up after a “naughty incident” on 24 minutes.

Alejandro Garnacho was attempting to get past Bayern’s Kingsley Coman when he ended up knocking him heavily into the pitchside hoardings.

The pair got in a tangle before the Man Utd player accidentally ending up throwing his Bayern counterpart into the boards.

The French star’s team-mates raced over to square up to Garnacho, who soon had his own colleagues backing him up.

Fortunately, Coman escaped the incident unscathed as the referee got in the middle of the melee and eventually continued with the game without punishment.

But not everybody was as convinced as the official that nothing sinister had occurred.

Ex-Chelsea and Blackburn striker Chris Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I think Garnacho is a bit naughty there.”

And it seems that some viewers tuning in also thought the same.

One fan wrote on social media: “Clear foul by Garnacho on Coman but not given.”

Another said: “Big fan of Garnacho hurling Coman into the advertising hoardings like something out of WWE.”

A third added: “Garnacho could’ve really hurt Coman! But not even a card.”

While another said: “Garnacho just chucking Coman into the advertising boards, you know that didn’t feel good.”

United eventually lost 1-0 to send them crashing out of Europe entirely.
