How Suns’ Kevin Durant actually feels about playing with Devin Booker

Kevin Durant spoke highly of Suns teammate Devin Booker amid the NBA duo’s efforts to lead Phoenix to a successful season.

The Phoenix Suns have had a solid start to the 2023-24 NBA basketball season. The Suns have a record of 12-8 and are fourth in the Western Conference standings. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have been on an offensive clinic. Durant praised his partner in crime amid the team’s successful start.

Durant talked about Bookers’ unique abilities on the court in a post-practice press conference:

“It’s just special to play with a player who understands the game at [a high] level,” Durant said via the Suns’ X account. “[Booker] has been at the highest level of basketball playing in the Finals, playing in the Olympics, playing in All-Star games.”

The NBA All-Star continued,” [We] always have constant communication about what we see out there. And so it makes the game easier for everybody when we’re both on the court. So you know, the more games the more reps we get under our belt the better we’ll become as a team.”

Phoenix’s record puts them in the top half of the Western Conference, but the team’s goals go beyond regular season accolades. The Suns want to win an NBA Championship.

After being knocked out of the second round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs by the Denver Nuggets, Durant and Booker are on a mission to prove their dominance to the world. Both stars rank top 15 in the league in points per game, per ESPN.

Moreover, Phoenix’s chances to win will be even greater after Bradley Beal returns to the lineup from his preseason injury.

Phoenix is preparing for a pivotal NBA In-Season tournament matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. The winner will advance to the tournament semifinals.
