One of our favorite little football fans turns 1 today! Yup, somehow little 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 Bronze Mahomes is a year old. And the First Family of Football celebrated his 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day this weekend in the perfect way — with an epic football-themed 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day party.
Patrick Mahomes —Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs — and his wife Brittany Mahomes turned their giant home gym into a football wonderland. The floor was covered in turf, giant balloons, huge cutouts of footballs and foam fingers, a giant bouncy house with Xs and Os on it, a Build-a-Bear station, and more. There was even a turf-like smash cake that had tufts of green frosting sticking out of it. See photos HERE and videos on Brittany’s Instagram story before they disappear.
What was shocking is that the colors were not red and yellow (like the Chiefs), but green, black, and white. Why did they choose the colors of the Philadelphia Eagles who the Chiefs faced in the last Super Bowl last year and who they lost to last week? Probably because green is the color of the field, but still, we have to wonder if coach Andy Reid approved this.
The detail that made us do a double take was Bronze’s personalized bodysuit. On the back, there was (of course) a football. On the front, it said, “Most Valuable Patrick.” That’s right! Bronze’s real name is “Patrick Lavon Mahomes III.” “Bronze” is a cute nickname his uncle came up with.
While the little tike probably didn’t appreciate just how awesome his 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day party was, his sister Sterling, 2 had a blast on the bouncy house. “Bronze’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day or Sterling’s?” Brittany asked with a laughing emoji on a sweet video of her toddler climbing up to the slide.
The little girl had a next-level 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day of her own earlier this year. In February, the family of four hosted a candy-themed 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day dubbed “Sterling’s Two Sweet” party. Get it?! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for her this February. Maybe a soccer-themed party since she is a budding star like her mama who is a retired professional soccer player and a co-owner of the Kansas City Current. It’s clear that whatever direction the Mahomes family goes, they’ll go hard for their adorable kiddos.
