Chelsea have just made a bid to sign £26m player, deal could be confirmed this month

Reports from Brazil have claimed that Chelsea have just made a fresh bid to sign midfielder Gabriel Moscardo.

According to GOAL, the Blues have now made an offer bigger than the £26m fee they offered towards the end of the prior transfer window.

Moscardo has established himself as a really promising midfielder that a number of sides are looking to bring in soon.

The Blues tried hard to bring him in towards the end of the summer transfer window, that had already proven to be a busy one again under the likes of Todd Boehly.

Their bid late in the summer was eventually not accepted, and now they are facing bigger competition for his signature.

It has been claimed that Barcelona are really keen on securing his services, with him seen as the clear heir to the Sergio Busquets throne.

However, it now looks as if Chelsea are back in the driving seat as far as this deal is concerned, with reports now saying that they have made an official proposal to sign him.

The report goes on to say that a decision could be made over his future as soon as this month, likely after the club’s presidential elections that take place in the final week of November.

On paper, many will look at Chelsea’s midfield options and be scratching their heads to if they feel another addition is necessary right now.

As well as clear favourites Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, they have the likes of Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu in their squad who operate in front of the defence.

This doesn’t even include Andrey Santos, who is currently enduring somewhat of a nightmare spell on loan at Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
