Aaron Rodgers returning this season is ‘POSSIBLE’, says ex-teammate Davante Adams, as Raiders star says Jets QB could be ‘paying somebody $10 million’ to help him heal

Davante Adams believes it’s ‘possible’ that Aaron Rodgers can return this season after tearing his Achilles tendon.

Rodgers was injured just minutes into his Jets debut in Week 1 vs. the Bills.

However, he’s made no secret of his aim to return to the NFL before the current season is over, and was recently spotted throwing on the MetLife Stadium turf before a game.

Achilles injuries are typically season-enders, but Adams isn’t betting against his former Packers quarterback.

‘I ain’t ruling anything out for that man,’ he said on the Rich Eisen Show, as Bleacher Report wrote. ‘You never know. The LeBrons, Michael Jordans, Kobe Bryants, and Aaron Rodgers’, Tom Bradys of the world, they get a different type of treatment out there too so, I don’t know, he might have somebody he’s paying $10 million a year to get that thing right.

‘In all seriousness, it’s possible for him, you see what he’s out there doing, he’s throwing the ball around, I know he’s not out there running, but he did just blow his Achilles out and he’s out there throwing, walking out there pretty easily without crutches a couple weeks after the injury.

‘I’m definitely excited to see him return. I know that team is definitely feeling the same way, so hopefully we can see that.’

Rodgers continues rehabbing his Achilles at an impressive pace following a relatively new procedure that placed an internal brace in his ankle known as a ‘speed bridge.’

But this week’s appearance on the Pat McAfee Show did not bring the most optimistic update from the 39-year-old compared to previous weeks.

‘It has been a tough week of rehab with some smaller gains and it’s been more of a grind the last week or so,’ Rodgers said. ‘I’m not walking without a limp yet.

‘I don’t quite have the strength in my calf to be able to walk without a limp yet. I am competitive, I want to be walking without a limp, so there is some frustration there.’

He added, ‘This is a tough rehab, for sure, because there’s so many little muscles that you got to wake up. Not just the calf muscles and foot muscles. Everything needs to work as a unit.’

Rodgers is known for practicing alternative medicine, including psychedelics such as ayahuasca, and previously sought advice on battling COVID-19 from podcaster Joe Rogan.

Of course, that came after Rodgers refused the coronavirus vaccine in 2021, instead adopting an unspecified doctor-prescribed treatment aimed at raising his antibody levels.

‘I found a long-term immunization protocol to protect myself and I’m very proud of the research that went into that,’ he told McAfee in 2021.
